Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SRVCA,

The San Ramon Valley Christian Academy is such a sweet place to be this time of year as our students can truly focus on the biblical meaning of Thanksgiving and Christmas. The families and friends of SRVCA fill us with gratitude for the way God has provided for this ministry and I want to share a glimpse into the gift that an SRVCA education provides to students as we prepare to receive the ultimate gift at Christmas, the gift of God’s Son, Jesus Christ.

Recently, I visited a first grade class where students were decorating pumpkin cookies for their harvest party. I couldn’t help but notice the generous slathering of frosting with layers of sprinkles on top. It brought me back to my own childhood where I remember my mom’s worn recipe cards stained with spills of extracts and oils. Even today, the smell of cookies in the oven brings comfort, as I recall those moments of home where I belonged and was loved.

Here at SRVCA, we want every child to know our campus not only as a school, but also a home where they are nurtured, loved, and equipped for God’s future plans. Our recipe for success is to inspire students to love God, love others, and love learning. Like many recipes, this one is quite simple, but I am confident it’s the key to a prizewinning result.

"Our recipe for success is to inspire students to love God, love others, and love learning."

Jesus reminded us in Luke 10:27 that we are to love God and love others. Our deepest desire is to disciple students pointing them to a rich, meaningful, and personal relationship with our Savior. Secondly, we want students and families, both past and present, to know they belong to our community, and we plan to love them all the way into eternity!

This year, we have intensified our efforts to help students love learning.  As we explore concepts in language, mathematics, science, and history we catch glimpses of His delights in creation. Providing new initiatives like our STEAM program (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) allow students to collaborate, hypothesize, and problem solve all while having fun. Although we hold firm to our high expectations in traditional academics, we are enjoying some new ways to bring hands-on exploration and enjoyment to the learning process. When we have inspired a student to love learning and explore His earthly kingdom, we know our recipe is leaving a good taste in the mouth of every student at SRVCA.

As tuition alone does not cover the true cost of an SRVCA education, we count on the generous donation of others to make up the difference. We ask you to prayerfully consider supporting SRVCA with a year-end donation to our Eagles’ Fund. Every gift is tax deductible and will be used to strengthen programs in athletics, academic resources, scholarships, curriculum and technology. Please join us in our efforts to prepare SRVCA students for the future God holds for each of them.

We wish you a very merry Christmas filled with love and many holiday cookies!

With Gratitude,
